Dolphin Magic Tours was originally founded by Captain Derek Brown in the Summer of 1999. The 41 foot twin turbo diesel has a maximum capacity of 48 people. DDK Tours was established in 1985 by Charles L. Alphin Sr. when he was a sergeant in the St. Louis Police Department, as an educational and historical venture for all people. He was introduced to Kingian Nonviolence by Dr. Bernard LaFayette Jr. and received training at The King’s Centers Annual Summer Institute for Kingian Nonviolence. Realizing how misinformed he was concerning nonviolence and Dr. Martin L. King, Jr., he wanted to share this information with others, especially youth. Alphin Sr. then started organizing Educational and Training tours to The King Center, Atlanta GA.
