Foothills Mall is an indoor regional shopping mall located in Maryville, Tennessee, a suburb of Knoxville. Foothills Mall features approximately 70 stores and restaurants. Adjacent to the mall is the Foothills Plaza complex which includes several additional restaurants and a cineplex with 8 screens.
Opened in 1983, Foothills Mall is the only shopping mall in burgeoning suburban Blount County, part of the Knoxville Metropolitan Area. The mall was originally anchored by Maryville based Proffitt's, a regional department store; Miller's, another regional department store that was a division of Allied Stores; JC Penney; and Sears. The site currently occupied by Oak Ridge City Center was selected by the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission to establish a permanent shopping center in the years following World War II. In 1951 the AEC selected a company headed by Guilford Glazer to build the new shopping center. A shortage of steel resulting from the Korean War delayed construction, but the Downtown Shopping Center opened in 1955. This shopping area was considered a replacement for the former "townsite" area around Jackson Square.
In the late 1980s Crown American purchased the property and converted it to an indoor mall by enclosing the walkways around the stores and significantly expanding the floor area. Source

From the start, the mall pulled shoppers from all over central and eastern North Carolina. Many of them came to the 251,000-square-foot (23,300 m2) Hudson Belk, which is still the largest store in the complex and serves as a Belk flagship. The mall was remodeled in the mid 1980s and added many upscale specialty stores and a food court. It faced remarkably little competition in its market until the 1990s, when Cary Towne Center in nearby Cary doubled in size and spawned a companion mall, Crossroads Plaza. Source

Southaven Towne Center is an open-air regional lifestyle center located in the Memphis, Tennessee suburb of Southaven, Mississippi. The shopping center is owned and managed by CBL & Associates, who developed the property and opened it in October 2005. It was reported that upon opening, the Southaven Towne Center was expected to contribute 1000 jobs to the local economy. This facility marks a first for CBL & Associates, it is their first foray into the lifestyle center property type. Southaven Towne Center brings department stores to Southaven for the first time. Four Seasons Town Centre is a three-story shopping mall in Greensboro, North Carolina. Currently anchored by Belk, Dillard's and JCPenney; it was the first enclosed shopping mall in Greensboro. Currently, it is the only indoor shopping mall within Greensboro's city limits; however, nearby Friendly Center, an outdoor shopping plaza, has many of the same tenants. It is also the only three-story shopping mall in North Carolina, though some department stores at two- or one-story malls have multiple stories. Four Seasons today is managed by General Growth Properties. The shopping mall is located at the I-40 interchange with High Point Road, south of downtown. Source

Biltmore Square Mall is a shopping mall located just off I-26 on Brevard Road in Asheville, North Carolina. It has three anchors: Belk, Dillard's Clearance Center, and Steve and Barry's. In Summer 2008, Dillard's converted to a clearance center.

David Hocker & Associates also manages an outdoor strip shopping center called Market Center to the east of the mall, between two major entrances. The center consists of anchors Old Navy, Shoe Carnival, and Circuit City.
